Taylor Gibler, CIP
Founder, Chief Experience Officer
Taylor has been supporting individuals, families and groups improve their quality of life since 2007. Following his university studies, Taylor began his career in the non-profit sector, serving as director of Hawaii’s largest food distribution program and guiding humanitarian efforts across the globe.
In 2013 Taylor transitioned his area of focus to behavioral health and wellness, beginning in admissions and business development for private healthcare providers in Southern California. He soon became apparent to him that he desired to take on a more “hands-on” approach to the issues he was seeing and began his training as an interventionist. Taylor was fortunate enough to apprentice under and eventually build business alongside of two of the foremost interventionists in the country, Danny Smith and Dirk Eldredge. During this time, Taylor accrued rich experiences across several areas of service, namely intervention, recovery coaching and care management services.
As he developed his own techniques in these areas, Taylor learned that he was seeing improved outcomes with clients when incorporating shared outdoor experiences. Taylor believes “there is just something about the order of things in nature that reflects back to you where you may be out of balance in your life at home.” Out of this recognition, River Rock Adventure Guides was born. A boutique adventure guiding company that designs and facilitates transformative outdoor experiences for individuals and groups. Taylor has facilitated one on one intensives for treatment-resistant clients, group experiential for those that are beginning the process of recovery, executive team-building retreats and creative retreats for those coming from the entertainment industry. River Rock Consulting is a unique expression of the breadth of Taylor’s experience, expertise and passion. “At the end of the day, we are all on the trail; faced with predictable and unexpected challenges that must be navigated in order for us to get where desire to be. I believe this to be true whether we summit a peak or create new habits at home”
Taylor has a wealth of experience in the curation of life-altering events; from intervention to 1 on 1 coaching and facilitating unforgettable outdoor experiences. Whatever the circumstance, his guiding light is to “leave things better than I find them”. Taylor is a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP).
Barry Gibler
Licensed Medical and Therapeutic Response Animal, Guide Dog, Director of Good-Boy Services
Barry, our licensed service dog is arguably the most valuable member of the RRCI team. Barry has been formally trained to assist our team and clientele in the context of an intervention, medical emergency and as a guide on the trail . With a keen understanding of the sympathetic nervous system, he instinctively senses and responds to pheromones emitted and internal shifts that we cannot see with our naked eye. For example, Barry is able to detect a panic attack or seizure before the physical symptoms present themselves.
As a dedicated service dog, Barry not only offers his alerts, command-responses and physical assistance but also fosters emotional well-being, creating deep connections with those around him. His intuitive nature and uplifting spirit make him a cherished companion, leaving a paw print of positivity wherever he goes, as his innate ability to navigate human emotions creates a therapeutic presence that impacts the lives he touches.

“Every man has two lives, and the second starts when he realizes he has just one.”
